We are currently seeking a skilled Medical Coder & Biller to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Maintain accurate patient records (personal and medical information)
EHR/EMR Management
Chart Updates:
Input patient data, upload labs, imaging, referrals, and past notes.
Task Management:
Track pending labs, imaging follow-ups, and upcoming appointments.
Clinical Summaries:
Create post-visit summaries or send visit notes to referring providers.
Pre-visit Preparation: Review upcoming patient charts, summarize relevant history, recent labs, and imaging for the physician.
Virtual Scribing: Join virtual consults to document in real time (SOAP notes, ICD/CPT codes). Prepare visit notes for the physician’s final sign-off.
Medical & Administrative Workflow Support
Prescription Prep:
Draft medication orders for physician approval.
Monitor refill requests and alert the physician as needed.
Referral & Prior Authorization Handling:
Fill out and submit forms for imaging, specialist referrals, and insurance approvals.
Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare (MBBS, MD, Administration, Physician’s Assistant on Dental Assistant) with excellent medical knowledge and proficient with patient record management.
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality regulations.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with insurers, patients, and healthcare staff.
Knowledge of medical and/or dental procedures, insurance verification, and coverage limitations.
Preferred but not required: Understanding of CDT codes, PPO/HMO plans, and coverage variations.
Excellent attention to detail in documentation.
Ability to escalate unresolved insurance or billing issues as needed.
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.).

Desktop/Laptop with Intel Core i7
8GB/16GB RAM for multitasking
Quiet, distraction-free workstation
Backup internet connection
USB headset with noise cancellation
